How loud should DJ speakers be?
To give you a better idea I've listed some common sounds you should be familiar with and their average decibel rating. When selecting speakers for your home DJ studio a rating of between 85-110 is ideal. Anything more than that and you actually run the risk of causing damage to your hearing.
What height should stereo speakers be?
The height speaker channels should be placed in the upper left/right corners of the front stage. Typically, this will be 40-45 degrees off-axis and about 8 feet in height. A downward tilt of the speaker will improve mid/high frequency response and reduce ceiling bounce reflections.

What angle should my speakers be?

How many watts should DJ speakers be?

Are front height speakers worth it?
If you can, run two front heights and 2 side heights. If you can't, 2 front heights will still be worth it. I get a lot of good sound from my front heights. I don't even tilt them down as I like the effect better (sound feels like it projects out toward the center of the ceiling).
How high should front surround speakers be?
Surround sound height placement was standardized for years, only becoming contentious with the introduction of immersive audio formats. When not installing immersive audio speakers, place the surround speakers approximately two feet above sitting ear height, which is generally 6 feet.
